Moving businesses in Central and South America and the Caribbean are tackling negotiating slow-growing and shrinking economies and ongoing political unrest, according to a new report by Latin American Relocation Management (LARM).
The Major Economic Challenges Facing Latin America in 2023 report found that the region’s economies are proving ‘highly vulnerable’ to global economic trends and identified six major challenges for the year ahead: socio-economic inequality; political instability; climate change; inflation; job recovery; and slow economic growth.
However, the report concluded that in spite of the challenges, the outlook was ‘not hopeless’. ‘Despite the global slowdown, there are indications that the region is capable of resilience and can avoid the worst impacts.’
