F ID I SE RV I C E S Launching the FIDI DSP Certification programme As the activities of FIDIs membership diversify into destination services, demand for quality DSP certification has grown. To meet this increasing demand, a new DSP Certification programme has been prepared for rollout early next year. FIDI Secretary General Jesse van Sas gives us the details A FIDI Secretary General Jesse van Sas fter many years on the table for discussion, I am very happy to announce that the FIDI DSP Certification programme is now set to roll out early in 2024. This represents a significant expansion of FIDIs long-established commitment to quality and excellence, well beyond our renowned FAIM Certification programme. The genesis of the FIDI DSP Certification programme FIDI has long been synonymous with quality and trust in the international moving industry, largely thanks to our FAIM Certification programme. Audited by EY, FAIM has established itself as the gold standard for international moving companies, ensuring consistent, high-quality services across FIDIs membership. In 2019, we introduced the FAIM DSP module, allowing FAIMcertified companies to have their destination service provider (DSP) activities audited. This optional module, exclusive to FAIM-certified companies, marked our initial foray into acknowledging the expanding scope of our members activities. Recognising the dynamic nature of global mobility and the diversifying needs of our members, the final FIDI DSP Standard was approved by the Extraordinary General Assembly in November 2023, meaning we will launch this new programme early next year. This programme is specially designed for pure DSP companies (i.e. companies providing relocation services, but not household goods moving) operating on an international scale and committed to the same high standards of service that define FAIM-certified companies. Why the FIDI DSP Certification programme? l Expanding member activities: Our FIDI members have evolved massively, offering a range of destination services beyond traditional household goods moving; some have established separate entities for these services. The FIDI DSP Certification programme addresses this expansion, offering a dedicated certification for these activities. lD emand for quality assurance: With FIDI FAIMs reputation for quality service, theres a growing demand from clients for similar vetting for destination services. FIDI DSP Certification meets this demand, ensuring clients receive the same level of excellence in a very significant part of global mobility services. lS taying ahead in a changing industry: To remain relevant and successful, FIDI must adapt to the industrys evolving landscape. This new certification ensures we continue to lead in setting standards for global mobility services. The programmes structure and benefits FIDI DSP Certification follows the same rigorous principles that have bolstered FAIMs reputation: l Regular, independent audits: Currently conducted by EY, these audits are comprehensive, covering operational aspects, 44 FF312 Dec_Feb 23 pp44-45 Certification.indd 44 11/12/2023 15:49
