FERCAM has agreed the purchase of FIDI Affiliate Vinelli & Scotto (V&S), based in Venaria, Italy, with a branch in Concorezzo.
The South Tyrol-based logistics company said in a release the move is designed to ‘strengthen its position in the international moving sector where it has operated for many years with its brand Gondrand by FERCAM’.
V&S has won several global awards for its operations, serving clients including multinationals, banks and insurance companies, as well as universities, and international and research organisations.
The company is owned by Renata and Laura Busettini, who are respectively CEO and General Manager of the business. They have managed to the family business for around 30 years, having taken over from their father Ottavio in the 1990s.
‘Our decision is motivated by personal reflections and is strongly dictated by the desire to continue our business together with our trusted collaborators who have considerable expertise in this field,’ said Laura Busettini. ‘We are a family-run company like FERCAM is and we have values that unite us in our work.’
Davide Aonso, Head of Transport Italy & Special Services at FERCAM, said: ‘This is a very ambitious project for our removals business unit, which would complete the package of services we currently offer and would allow us to make a further qualitative leap in our international activities and relocation. Experience and specialization are fundamental in this activity.
